Red Road Reclamation is an Interfaith, Universal Faith, and Non-Denominational Native American Church grounded in Indigenous spiritual and cultural ways. In alignment with our mission and vision, we are dedicated to:

Offering cultural, spiritual, and educational resources to individuals, families, and organizations seeking guidance.
Developing programs, services, and projects that foster spiritual growth, cultural preservation, and holistic well-being within and beyond our community.

Shawn Stevens

Chairperson

Shawn Stevens (Standing Eagle) An enrolled tribal member of the Stockbridge Munsee Band of Mohicans and a licensed Tribal Elder and Youth Volunteer, Shawn has dedicated his life to the study and preservation of his heritage. He pursued education in Anthropology, Philosophy, Creative Writing, Oral Communications, Native History, Native American Literature, and Sustainable Development at the College of Menominee Nation. With over 20 years of experience as the Chairperson of his Tribe's Language and Culture Board, and as the former Vice Chair of the Tribe's Repatriation Committee, he has played an active vital role amongst his peoples’ tribal historic preservation and language research.

Shawn is a certified space holder for healing circles addressing intergenerational trauma and mending broken hearts. As a Mohican Traditional Culturalist, Spiritualist, he shares Indigenous culture, history, and prophecy through storytelling, and as an ordained minister of the Church of Universal Light.

Shawn is also an accomplished Native American artist, craftsman, drummer, singer, flute player, and musician, with handcrafted items delivered in all 50 states and over 14 countries.

Committed to promoting wellbriety and holistic health within his community, he actively engages in intertribal and intercultural exchanges to foster understanding and unity, while passionately working to revitalize and preserve traditional Mohican culture.

Wanonah Kosbab

Secretary

Wanonah Kosbab (Spencer) is an enrolled member of the Stockbridge-Munsee Band of Mohicans and a direct descendant of the Oneida Nation. She is a mother, grandmother, teacher, and peacemaker who is dedicated to cultural reclamation and guiding others, particularly children and youth, to walk the Red Road. She has a passion for reconnecting the Stockbridge-Munsee Mohican people with their ancestral homelands and connecting all people to indigenous practices and traditions.

Wanonah is a cultural revitalization advocate focused on environmental stewardship and mental health. As Co-Director of Nova Nations, Wanonah fights for ways to keep children and youth busy and off the street with a healthy place to hang out and get what they need. As co-leader of the Mohican Children’s Homeland Trips, she makes it possible for children and youth to connect with their ancestral homelands and indigenous teachings.

Wanonah has served on the Tribal Language and Culture Committee and currently sits on several nonprofit boards. She engages in organizing Indigenous Peoples Day events and empowerment retreats to uplift Mohican heritage and community wellness. For over many years, she has engaged as a peacemaker, helping to resolve conflicts and promoting harmony within families and communities using indigenous traditional approaches. Additionally, she is a craftswoman, traditional dancer, and certified White Bison Mending Broken Hearts Circle Facilitator.

Shannon Chada

Treasurer

Shannon Chada (Good Singing Woman) embodies a holistic approach to life, interweaving culture, community, and nature in her path. A Non-Denominational Holistic Minister Practitioner through LightWing Center, she is also a Reiki Master Teacher, herbalist, yoga instructor, aromatherapist, and singer-songwriter. Shannon serves on the Board of Directors for both Homelands PowWow and Red Road Reclamation, both 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, and is a certified White Bison Mending Broken Hearts Circle Facilitator.

Through her work as a holistic educator and practitioner, Shannon brings over 27 years of experience leading spiritual, cultural, and community initiatives. She offers self-care guidance, spiritual mentoring, community connection, and Reiki & Aromatherapy classes, certifications, and mentorships—supporting individuals to connect with their inner light, walk their paths with authenticity, and cultivate compassion, unity, and respect. She also maintains a 13-year partnership with SoderWorld Wellness Center, serving the Chicago-land area with holistic programming and community events, and is a continuing education provider with NCBTMB for professional bodyworkers.

Deeply rooted in her upbringing within the Stockbridge-Munsee Mohican community, of Cherokee descent with French, Scottish Canadian, and Métis ancestry, Shannon bridges connections between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities, fostering peacemaking, cultural reclamation, and environmental stewardship. She honors her path through music, dance, and art, using creative expression as a channel for healing, celebration, and unity. Her presence in the community serves as a transformative force—fostering deeper connections, awakening a collective commitment to harmony and peace, and inspiring the flourishing of future generations.
